Tomato Bacon Pasta

  • 250g Pasta
  • Stir! It up Italian Tomato Sauce 100g
  • 2 TBS Olive Oil
  • 2 cup (500ml) water
  • 1 cup (250ml) cream
  • 1 cup reserved pasta water
  • Bacon (200g) - chopped
  • 1 cup shredded Parmesan Cheese
  • Salt & Pepper
  1. Prepare 1 package of pasta according to package instructions. Drain the pasta and reserve 1 cup of pasta water

  2. Hydrate the pasta sauce as per instructions.

  3. Heat 1 TBS oil in a saucepan and braai bacon until crispy Remove excess oil

  4. Add hydrated sauce and cream to the bacon. Stir it up.

  5. Add the drained pasta to the Tomato Sauce & bacon mixture.

  6. Add the reserved cup of pasta water, Olive Oil and Parmesan

  7. Stir to combine until the cheese has melted into the pasta.

  8. Serve with fresh basil and extra Parmesan.

Recipe Notes

Chef's tip: Any pasta can be used for this recipe. Olives and roasted veggies are great add-ons
